Medical Art Prosthetics first began providing anaplastology and facial prosthetics with plastic surgeons at UCSF in 2016.
Working closely with plastic and ENT surgeons in the area like Dr. Jason Pomerantz and the Cochlear Americas clinical support team our anaplastologists have provided both bar-clip and magnetic osseointegrated ear prosthetics.
We are pleased to have been available and readily accessible to provide extraoral facial prosthetics in the absence of specialty maxillofacial clinicians and rehabilitation teams in the San Francisco Bay area.

Veteran anaplastologist David Hoehn, a long-time resident of California, is now making his wonderful prosthetic restorations available for the San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento, and Northern California territory. David Hoehn, BA
Anaplastologist
David Hoehn is a native of San Francisco and has been an Anaplastologist, Ocularist and Medical Sculptor since 1991. He began ocularistry and anaplastology at West Los Angeles VA Hospital Restoration Clinic for a year and half before moving to San Francisco VA Hospital, Restoration Clinic, offering ocular and anaplastology services to veterans and private practice since 1992.
David has also distinguished himself in the related field of special effects, focusing his skills and services as an Eye Specialist. His work has been featured in numerous Hollywood movies and television productions.
He received his BA degree from San Jose State University in California and practices in the Bay Area, designing and creating artificial eyes and silicone restorative prosthetics.
